I have 5 thousands and want to start business? What are the businesses I can start with 5 thousands.?

Q. I have 5 thousands and want to start business? What are the businesses I can start with 5 thousands. My credit score is not so good which I am trying to improve.

A. Due to the lack of decent answers so far I guess I'll have to give it a go!

The fact that you've managed to build up 5000 in savings given your bad credit score (I assume the 5000 of which you boast is savings money?) is very impressive and is a very good sign.

But I certainly can't give you a decent business idea! Do you know what? If I had an idea for a business that would make me loads of money off £5000 I certainly wouldn't share it with you! YOU need to have a good idea to start a business, look for a niche in your local community or a problem with an existing product.

how can i start business with no investment?
Q. how can i find franchise business with no investment i am looking start business bring people to business work ! i am looking for franchise businesses i have bad credit i know i ma not aproving with no banks at all but i am looking start business with no investment at least pay back when i started if any one know where to find a franchise business like that?? thank you!

A. There are many businesses that you can start with no capital.

1. Sell something. While some salespeople are employees, many, if not most, are independent contractors - essentially, self-employed business owners. Examples: Insurance agents, merchant account salespeople, advertising sales, manufacturers representatives, stock and bond brokers, real estate agents, and auctioneers. Some small service businesses will hire an outside independent sales rep, when offered, because they only pay when you sell and quite a few could use some extra business right now.

2. Lawn care and odd jobs. Anyone that thinks you need a lot of money to do this isn't very creative. When I was 18, I bought a truck for $400, and two lawn mowers for $50 (all used, but functional). Flyers and business cards were another $25, and I was in business earning three to four times the minimum wage (at that time) with more work than I had time to do. A kid that mowed my lawn a few years ago used a borrowed mower, and borrowed an Oldmobile Cutlass to get around at first. In a week, he had enough money to buy his own mower, and within a month, enough to buy a used truck.

If you need capital and a bank won't lend you the money, there are alternatives, known as Peer to Peer Lending, or Social Lending (Google p2p loans, social lending). Kiva does very small loans, or micro-loans. Another source is Prosper. Both are linked below. The SBA, or Small Business Administration has a micro-loan program (average of $13,000 per loan), but you'll need decent credit for that because the lender is still going to be a bank.

Another source of capital is an angel investor. While many think angels are only interested in very large projects, that's simply not true. One entrepreneur in my home town went to an angel, asked for a $1,000 loan to purchase a property, and got the loan. Several decades later, he's nationally known as an entertainment entrepreneur with multi-million dollar properties that are shining examples of how good a venue can be. Another entrepreneur started out with a $2,000 investment in a gas station. Today, he's a billionaire, with properties all over the world. Big business can start small.

There are angel networks in every part of the world. Some are online, some you'll need to ask around to uncover. Ask your local university about any entrepreneurship programs that can link angels with budding entrepreneurs. The SBA development agents can also help link you with angels, because many banks want the borrower to have some equity at risk, and an angel investor can provide that additional capital.

Another source of capital are utility cooperatives, such as natural gas and electricity. Some of them have excess capital. I have found some that will make zero interest loans to local businesses where the money is used to build or expand a business (the key was the business would increase the demand for the utility cooperatives product, usually electricity). They have a vested interest in maintaining and growing the local business environment that uses their service.

Finally, your local chamber of commerce and/or economic development organization, may be able to connect you with local angels, as well as potentially help you with any local government programs designed to help local business owners.

The rich are the ones who start businesses and buy multiple products. So why do people insist on taxing us?
Q. We start businesses and buy expensive cars and houses, which helps the economy. So why do people insist on taxing us? We already help the economy more than most americans.

A. People have a hard time understanding the American Free Market Capitalist model. It is not a zero sum game. In a zero sum game, if one guy gets two someone else gets none. That is not the way things really are. Here, the wealth the rich have is directly related to how much wealth they generate. Pick any billionaire. Bill Gates for instance. He has a massive amount of personal wealth but it is only a small fraction of the wealth he has created. Try to imagine how much wealth and opportunity others have been able to generate using his products.

I honestly believe that if you took all the wealth in the United States and divided it up equally among all the people, inside of one year, the same people who are rich now would be rich then and the same people who are poor now would be poor then. Everyone pursues happiness in their own particular way. For some, it means opening a business and working 16 hour days chasing a dream. For others, it is a long vacation and a tall beer.
